Trevor has had a number of year’s administration, supervisory and management experience in a wide variety of organisations as well as experience of Health and Safety management and youth work.
Between leaving school in 1969, and 1978 Trevor was employed by British Telecom in a number of different roles, including dressing up as ‘Buzby’.
After this he spent some years in the retail trade, working all over the country from Portsmouth in the South to Gateshead in the North.
In the late 80’s Trevor went on to discover a passion for health and safety and gained a distinction in the NEBOSH General Certificate. After many hours work experience Trevor then became a self employed Health and Safety advisor and safety officer for numerous different companies. Among these were Conoco Phillips, Bolton Council and Rehene Construction (working on the Canary Wharf project).
In 1995 when Health and Safety projects started to dry up, Trevor began working for Royal Mail in Grimsby, which he did for some 5 years, originally as a ‘Postie’ but eventually, as a Section manager with responsibility for up to 37 staff, during this time he again took on the Health and Safety mantle for the delivery office.
In 2001, a chance meeting with a senior youth worker, meant a change of direction for Trevor as he became a Youth Development Advisor and Adult Training Co-ordinator through JHP Training and Grimsby College. From there he went on to become a team leader for the Prince’s Trust and worked for the YMCA.
Currently Trevor is Administration Manager at Lincolnshire Sports Partnership, having been employed by the Partnership since 2004. Trevor is responsible for ensuring the seamless running of the administration and finance functions of the Partnership as well as being a line supervisor and team leader for the core team. |
