Lizzie graduated from Liverpool John Moores University in 2005 with a BSc (HONS) Sports Science 2:1 degree, and then graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with an MSc Sports Development degree in 2006. Whilst completing her masters, Lizzie carried out a number of voluntary work placements at local councils (Hull City and North East Lincolnshire), and for BEM Sports North Lincolnshire.
Since graduating Lizzie have had a number of posts gaining a range of different experiences. Firstly, working as the Assistant Sports Development Officer for North Lincolnshire Council, then moving to Active Doncaster employed as the Champion Sports Pass Officer.
Prior to starting employment at Lincolnshire Sports Partnership in September 2009 as the Coaching Development Manager; Lizzie was employed as a coach development officer at Services 2 Sport; and for the first 6-months Lizzie was seconded to CISWO (Coal Industry Social Welfare Organisation) as the Sports Development Officer. Since leading on the Sports Makers Project, Lizzie is now the Workforce Development Manager.
Outside of work Lizzie plays and coaches hockey for Brigg Hockey Club and when time allows Lizzie volunteers at an active youth club for young people who have disabilities. |
