Sarah graduated from Sheffield Hallam University in 2003 with a degree in Sports Development and Coaching. During her time at university she was involved in river kayaking and was an active member of the canoe club. After university Sarah left the UK and went abroad where she worked as a Fitness Instructor in New Zealand and an English Teacher in Mexico.
After three years Sarah returned to the UK and started work at Newark and Sherwood District Council in 2007. Within the Sports Development Team Sarah specialized in health and physical activity, managed health campaigns, set up physical activity groups and trained staff and volunteers in a range of areas including mentoring, cholesterol testing, weight management and session delivery.
Sarah joined Lincolnshire Sports Partnership in 2009, and is responsible for managing and coordinating projects around the physical activity and health agenda. These include walking, exercise referral, fit kids and the over 45’s activators programme. |
