Walking is the cheapest and easiest way to get into physical activity. Health Walks are funded by NHS Lincolnshire and the Health and Wellbeing Fund. They are growing fast in number, with more people walking than ever before as part of an organised group. Lincolnshire Health Walks are free and led by a qualified leader.

There are lots of ways to walk more, such as to and from work, taking children to school, family outings or simply walking to the shops.

Here are some quotes from people who have beneffited from walking programmes in Lincolnshire:
"I have met some lovely people and enjoy the social part of the group"
"I wasn't aware of the walks programme but have now been on several walks including those that take us out of the City to places such as Wasinghborough and Skellingthorpe. I thoroughly enjoy each walk and the people on them".
"The walk leaders are always very friendly and approachable. I think led walks are a great idea for people like me and allow you to see parts of the City that you wouldn't otherwise see".
"I love coming on the walks. When I first started coming I used to get so nervous and feel sick. I found it so hard to get through the door. Now I have such a laugh with everyone. I love it. I feel better about myself, especially now I know I am losing weight."
