Every Child Matters: Change for Children is the name for
a government led project involving everyone who works with
children, throughout England.
The project aims to ensure all children & young people
enjoy life no matter what problems they may encounter, and
that everyone is aware of the support children need to make
them happy, healthy, successful, & safe.
Following a survey conducted in 2003 amongst young people
& adults, the Government established five key aims. These
aims identify the areas that children & young people needed
to be supported in, and are at the centre of the Children
Act 2004.

- Stay Safe
- Enjoy and achieve
- Make a positive contribution
- Achieve economic well- being
