To make sport and physical activity easily accessible across
South Kesteven with a focus on priority areas.
- Increase numbers of people taking part in sport and physical
activity within the District.
- To improve the quality of and widen access to opportunities
for sport and physical activity within the District.
- To use sport and physical activity to promote, develop
and support community cohesion, identity and partnerships.
- To develop a shared action plan for the development of
sport and physical activity with links to the plan for sport
in South Kesteven and the Lincolnshire Sports Partnership
‘Strategy for sport in Lincolnshire’.
- To add value to current activities by working in partnership
and ensuring sustainability.
- To represent the voice of sport and physical activity
on key strategic bodies e.g. the Local Strategic Partnership.
- To advocate the role of sport and physical activity and
its contribution to other related programmes (i.e. The Obesity
Strategy) and the objectives of partner agencies and ensure
it is embedded in key strategic documents e.g. Community
Strategy action plans.
- To develop and improve the use of multi-agency programmes
to improve health and well being across the district.
- To develop (joint) projects to meet identified needs
and plug gaps.
- To bring in more funding for sport and physical activity
in the district and ensure that this is directed towards
agreed priority programmes.
- To raise the profile of sport and physical activity within
all partner organisations and the wider community.
- To share information, knowledge, good practice and skills
between members and avoid duplication and wastage.
- To monitor and evaluate participation figures in the
district on a project by project and district wide basis.
