The Lincolnshire Sports Awards 2007 took place Sunday night,
with Louth Swimmers scooping a top award.
Louth Swimming Club, represented at the Awards Ceremony by
Chairman Bob Wells, thought of competition from Lincoln Wellington
Athletic Club to scoop the accolade of Community Club 2007-
Sponsored by Lincolnshire Co-op.
After achieving a runner’s up medal in the 2006 Lincolnshire
Sports Awards, Louth Swimming Club is going from strength
to strength. Cllr Doreen Stephenson East Lindsey District
Council presented the award on Sunday night, on behalf of
the Lincolnshire Co-op.
Carolyn Morton from Monks Dyke, Technology College is also
celebrating after receiving a runner’s up medal in the
Category of Sporting Teacher- Sponsored by Walkers. Steve
De Wint, Chief Executive of the Lincolnshire Sports Partnership
presented the medal on behalf of Walkers.
Olympic Silver Medallist Campbell Walsh joined in the celebrations
along with Olympic Bobsleigher Jenny Pacey, Lincoln City FC
Chairman Steff Wright, and Former England Cricketer Arran
Brindle.
