Angling is often considered equivalent to Sport Fishing,
and is a popular activity in many parts of the world.
Anglers attempt to catch a fish by means of an “angle”
(hook.) A bate indicator such as a float is sometimes, but
not always used.
Angling can be separated into two distinct categories:
Natural bait angler:
- Natural bait anglers, use a common prey species of the
fish as an attractant. Worms & Maggots are common natural
baits.
Artificial bait angler:
- Artificial bait anglers, use a man-made lure as an attractant.
The lure may or may not represent prey.
