New Age Kurling is a form of the original curling game, but
adapted so that it can be played indoors on any smooth, flat
surface, such as sports halls.
Played by both able-bodies and disabled people of all ages,
New Age Kurling is a fast growing popular sport.
Played with even teams of either singles, doubles, triples
or fours, the aim of the game is to push the rubber Kurling
stone as near to the vinyl target as possible. Points are
scored depending on which teams stone/stones are nearest to
the middle of the target.
For example:
If one red Kurling stone is nearer to the centre that any
blue Kurling stone then that is one point to the reds, if
four red Kurling stones are nearer the centre than any blue
Kurling stone then that is four points to the reds.
