Squash is an indoor racquet sport that was formerly called
"Squash racquets," a reference to the "squashable"
soft ball used in the game. The game is played by two players
(singles) or four players (doubles). The game is played in
a four-walled court, with rackets, and a small hollow rubber
ball.
A full cardiovascular workout; squash is a fast paced sport,
requiring speed, skill, and agility.
Squash games are usually played to 9 points. However the
receiver may opt to call 'set two' and play to 10 when the
score first reaches 8-8. Competition matches are usually played
to 'best-of-five' i.e. the player to win the most out of 5
games.
