The Lincolnshire Coaches Network, co-ordinated by the Lincolnshire Sports Partnership, brings together a range of coaches and instructors from a variety of sports and activities across Lincolnshire. It has been developed to meet the needs of its members and addresses many of the concerns raised by coaches in the county: How can I get more work? How can I improve my qualifications? What do other coaches do?
There are number of benefits from being a registered member with the Lincolnshire Coaches Network, including:
- Access to a number of business discounts ranging from clothing and equipment to photography processing
- Reduced cost bespoke Continuous Professional Development workshops and courses developed by experts at the University of Lincoln Department of Sport, Coaching and Exercise Sciences, as well as generic Minimum Standards for Deployment courses
- Access to valuable resources through Lincolnshire County Council Library Services
- Networking opportunities at events to:
- -Increase communication between registered members and gain national, regional and local updates
- -Enable registered members to share examples of good practice, drills and skills (practical and theoretical)
- -Allow personal contact, rapport and relationships to build between registered members
We are currently expanding the Network even further to utilise a new data management system which will be launched on Lincolnshire Day 2010 (Friday 1st October 2010). This new system records your demographic and employment details, as well as information about the qualifications’ and experiences you currently have and what you are aspiring to achieve; a fantastic tool for coaches in Lincolnshire.
